Lately, I have really been drawn to all things 70s, from the autumn hues to the shapes and silhouettes. For me today's outfit really reminds me of the old photos my mum used to show me of her in her teenage years and early 20s. Mustard, in particular, is a colour I have seen everywhere the last two seasons and have continued to love throughout Winter. This little jacket is perfect for throwing over any look, adding a pop of colour in a cosy, contemporary way.
Flares are something I always really avoided, as I just really felt they were unflattering, outdated and uncomfortable but I couldn't be more wrong! These ones are super comfy, they almost feel like I'm wearing pajamas! As for unflattering with flares it is really about finding your perfect fit, when you do they should really elongate your legs and lift up your bum and really give you everything you want in a perfect pair of jeans...but it all takes time. For me it has really inspired me to explore new trouser shapes and play around with different colours and textures...after all fashion is all about the play.
