OCEAN + MAIN TUNICS

After being recently introduced to the sustainable Kaftan and tunics brand Ocean + Main and I have become totally obsessed with their pieces since then. They are based out in Los Angeles with a focus on creating limited edition, high-quality tunics. They are created in a sustainable way with absolutely no water, using upcycled materials and reducing waste wherever possible. I love a brand that focuses on finding ways around the huge amount of waste produced in the fashion industry, particularly when the pieces themselves are gorgeous too!

I am by no means an expert when it comes to eco-fashion but as I have done more and more research into the industry in recent years it has really made me aware, embarrassed and really quite shocked at the entire production process. My wardrobe is a real mix of high street, designer and everything in between but the more I discover cool, new brands that are really taking a fresh approach the more I want clothes and accessories that take responsibility and are made in a sustainable way.

Summer dressing is my absolute favourite, particularly when it comes to the beach which is why kaftans are perfect for me. However, I come back to London I often find myself wearing pieces that just don't have the same simplicity. Here I decided to update the Ocean+Main Jess tunic by tying a side knot and wearing it with jeans and slip ons to make it easy and wearable even when walking around a busy city in Autumn. Not only was this look summer comfortable and easy it also offered a simple style that is perfect for when the sun is in the sky but Autumn has reared its head.

I was wearing: Jess tunic by Ocean+Main, denim jeans by Levis, slip on shoes by Primark, and dark red lipstick by Clinique
