Radiance-boosting skincare brand Scientia Beauty has just celebrated its first birthday this autumn. Founded by Tiffany Salmon and launched in 2019, the brand focuses on Knowledge, Science + Skill. Scientia Beauty products span from skin tonics and cleansers to eye serums and facial oils; all products are vegan and proudly made in the UK.
While Scientia Beauty products are formulated for all skin types, the products are bursting full of anti-inflammatory oils and calming antioxidants, making them a great choice if you're in the market to soothe your sensitive skin.
Over the past few weeks, our Contributing Writer Cordelia tried Scientia Beauty's infamous Dusk Elixir. If you want to hear what she thought of it, then just keep reading!

This product is already a favourite amongst Scientia Beauty users, who say that Scientia Dusk Elixir is "like a spa experience each evening."
As it says on the bottle, the Elixir active oil blend aims to ‘regenerate, rewind, replenish and restore’. Scientia Dusk Elixir contains 23 natural oils and is enriched with fatty acids, omegas, vitamins and antioxidants; basically pure bliss in a bottle! With oils including Rosehip, Moringa and Bakuchiol, Scientia Dusk Elixir works to boost collagen in your skin and prevent signs of early ageing, whilst the Lavender, Ylang Ylang and Frankincense unwind the mind and encourage a restful night’s sleep.
Scientia Dusk Elixir can be applied to pressure points as well as the face. Whilst doing wonders for reigniting your skin barrier with a burst of life and radiance, the elixir helps you drift off into a peaceful slumber. I made it a part of my bedtime ritual by applying it just before I hit the pillow. After washing my face, I used the pipette to empty a few drops of Scientia Dusk Elixir into the palms of my hands.
I recommend taking a moment to enjoy the gorgeous scents as well; breathing in and out for a couple of breaths in a calming and mindful practice. Following this, apply the Dust Elixir to your face, massage into every corner and feel the fragrant oils seep into your tired skin. Finally, rest your head and enjoy the peace and tranquillity. Inhale, apply, sleep, and then reap the rewards over the next few days.
Not only will your sleep benefit from Scientia Dusk Elixir and your mind feel more zen, but your skin will also start to feel invigorated and radiant. You may even notice that you feel more awake!
Final Thoughts
After a long day in what are pretty stressful, uncertain times, it felt like a real treat to lay my head on a fluffed-up pillow with a light layer of Scientia Dusk Elixir on my skin. I totally recommend this product - coupled with a moment’s peace and quiet - to feel totally relaxed at the end of your day.
I think Scientia Dusk Elixir is the perfect product to soothe both the body and the mind. It feels restorative and like something I would enjoy at a spa, rejuvenating my skin and leaving me with a natural glow. The oils felt soothing and meditative and made my skin super soft! Each morning after use, I would awake to find my skin looked healthy, hydrated, and revitalised.
I would even recommend incorporating Scientia Dawn Elixir into your morning routine if you want revitalised skin and a calming start to your day. Oh, and the cute little pink bottle looks so chic by my bedside table!
