The Glossier Review

Glossier is a brand that I have long been a fan of from afar. Though I had managed to pick up a few things here and there through friends over in the USA I was ridiculously excited to hear Glossier were hosting a pop-up in London. The space itself was very cool, dressed everywhere in millennial pink and various different spaces to chill out, to test out the products and to smell the fragrance. I ended up going for the Milky Jelly Cleanser, Wowder powder, Haloscope and the stretch concealer.

The Milky Jelly Cleanser

I have been using the Milky Jelly Cleanser for a few months now and I am absolutely hooked. Generally, I don't use it to take off makeup but just as a daily cleanser which I love the texture of. On the odd occasion that I have used it to remove face makeup it has worked well too without too much fuss. There haven't been many cleansers that I repurchase but this one has definitely made the list for an easy, go to cleanser that does the job and leaves the skin looking and feeling great.

Everything else I got ended up being on the makeup front, though I am keen to branch out into some more Glossier skincare considering I got on so well with the cleanser. The haloscope is amazing! From the very first time I wore it I loved the subtle sheen that you can build up if you want to create more of a highlight. Each time I go out wearing it I get compliments on how "naturally" glowy I look and its this product every time! I love applying it below the brow bone, along the cheekbone, down my nose and on my cupids bow. Sometimes it feels very subtle when it's on but looks so gorgeous when it catches the light at certain angles.

Strech Concealer

The stretch concealer is one that I do really like too it gives a really natural, glowy finish. It is really easy to apply for days when I don't feel like wearing concealer and can just apply to the relevant bits of my face that need a bit more coverage. The only thing I notice is because of the texture it can sometimes struggle to stay so by the end of the day I am not as covered.

Wowder Powder

The final product I went for was the Wowder powder which is great particularly when partnered up with the stretch concealer to give it a bit more staying power. The powder works well to keep everything staying put on your face as the day goes on and like most of Glossier is easy to apply. Overall, I have to say I am a huge fan of all the Glossier products I've tried so far and I am really keen to try more with Body Hero and You next on my list...
